Where on Friday once again the body of a student preparing for IIT-JEE was found hanging from the fan.

Let us tell you that this is the 17th case of suicide in Kota since January this year. If we talk about the last year 2023, then 26 cases of suicide by coaching students were reported across Kota.
Police expressed suspicion of suicide
In the case, police said that a 16-year-old boy from Bihar, who was preparing for IIT-JEE, was found hanging from the fan in his hostel room in Vigyan Nagar police station area of Kota city on Friday. Let us tell you that this incident happened when the fan in the hostel room was fitted with anti-hanging device to prevent suicide. According to the information, the police suspect that it could be a case of suicide. However, no suicide note has been recovered from the room and the reason behind this step by the minor is not yet known.
The student was a resident of Vaishali district.
Regarding the identity of the student, Circle Inspector Mukesh Meena of Vigyan Nagar police station said that a 16-year-old 11th class student from Vaishali district of Bihar was preparing for IIT-JEE in a coaching institute in Kota since April this year. He said that the boy was found hanging from the fan in his hostel room on Friday.
In November also a student committed suicide
It is noteworthy that last month too, 18-year-old Vivek Kumar, a resident of Annupur, Madhya Pradesh, who was preparing for Kota, had committed suicide. In this case also, the police said that the student died during treatment. Deputy Superintendent of Police Yogesh Sharma said the boy allegedly jumped from the sixth floor around midnight.
